Exercise is of the utmost importance to a child’s well being and its benefits are well documented.

The children receive two PE lessons a week and also a weekly swimming session run by well-qualified swimming coaches.  They have the opportunity to learn the skills required for a wide range of sports such as netball, football, cricket, golf, badminton, gymnastics and dance to name a few.  The older children go skiing at the local dry slope.  The Forms 5 and 6 children go to our senior school, The Gregg School, to use their extensive facilities and the Form 6 pupils are taught by their PE specialist.

Healthy competition is an important part of school life and our House system is at the centre of this.  We hold our annual Sports Day on the track at the senior school where the Houses compete with great enthusiasm.

The annual swimming gala is held at The Quays in Southampton and includes all the children from Forms1 to 6 where they compete within their Houses.  The children also have the opportunity to take part in ISA competitions such as the Cross Country and Swimming Gala and Diving Competitions.
