Onward Journey

Where Next?

The vast majority of our students progress to sixth form study, with the small number who do not choosing to follow apprenticeships or other vocational routes.

We provide an extensive number of opportunities and experiences within and beyond our curriculum to help students to discover their strengths and hone their ideas about their future studies.

Students are supported in PSD lessons with their college applications by working on personal statements and interview techniques. They are given access to a careers advisor so that they can start to pull together ideas for future courses and career paths.

Students at The Gregg School studying in class

Our area of Hampshire and the city of Southampton offer a wide range of sixth form destinations for our students, with the school being conveniently located for them to take advantage of the diversity on offer and to find the course that suits their needs and aspirations.

The most popular destinations for our leavers continue to be Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh and Peter Symonds College in Winchester, both of whom are rated outstanding by OFSTED.

The vast majority of Gregg students go on to study at university with a number of those gaining places at the most prestigious institutions including the Russell Group Universities, Oxford and Cambridge.
