At The Gregg School, we know that choosing a right school for you child is an important decision for every family. To help you feel fully informed, we have created a page dedicated to answering the questions we are most often asked by parents and pupils. | What is a typical school day? |

| The School day is from 8.45am to 3.30pm, after which students can attend a co-curricular club or activity. School Day |
| Do you offer wrap around care? |
| Wrap around care is provided by Team Spirit. We offer a Breakfast Club availble between 7.30-8.30am and and After School Club from 3.30-6pm. Further information can be found here. |
| Is school transport available? |
|
The school has its own fleet of minibuses and over 92% of The Gregg School ( Senior) use this service. We provide to fully chaperoned transport routes, for use, exclusively, by our Prep pupils. Each bus can accomodate up to 15 students, plus a member of staff. The Oak Bus will serve Ocean Village and travel through key central locations including Bedford Place, the Southampton General Hospital area, Mid Winchester Road, and Winn Road before arriving at school. |
| What is your approach to teaching and learning? |

At The Gregg School, teaching and learning are shaped by curiosity, community and creativity. As a small, supportive community, we value all students as individuals and tailor our teaching to how each child learns best. This personalised approach ensures every pupil is encouraged and supported to achieve their personal best both academically and personally. |
| What is the curriculum at school? |
|
At The Gregg Prep School, we offer the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB). This is an assessment model that has at its heart the development of the values, skills, attitudes and behaviours required for children to succeed and flourish in an ever-changing world. | Do you provide support for different learning needs? |
|
Our Learning Support department ensures pupils receive appropriate support, and personalised strategies are built into classroom teaching where needed. |
| How do parents stay up-to-date with school news and their child's progress? |
|
We use newsletters, parents’ evenings, termly reports to ensure parents are fully informed about school life and student progress. |

What are the catering arrangements? |
| A great education needs to be fuelled by great food! Students are offered a choice of healthy and filling snack in the morning as well as a lunchtime meal. You can find out more about the food provided by our catering team here - Lunch |
| Do you offer any extra curricular activities and clubs? |
|
We provide a holistic education that encourages students to engage in a wide range of co-curricular activities. These take place during lunchtimes and after school, both on and offsite. |
| Do students go on school trips? |
|

What are your entry requirements? |
| We are a proudly non academically selective school with entry based on reports, assessments and getting to know each student. As part of the admissions process, students sit an entrance assessment and prospective families are invited to meet with our Headteacher. |

What is the admissions process? |
|
As a first step, we encourage all families to visit the school, either during an open event or a private tour. Our Head Teacher likes to meet all prospective families so that you have a chance to ask questions and understand our school ethos. All prospective students sit our Entrance Assessment and are invited to or a taster session to allow them to experience the school and get to know us before joining. |
| Can I arrange a tour of the school? |

We warmly welcome you to visit our schools at one of our Open Events or you can arrange a private tour. |
